Once a child receives an autism diagnosis , AB Spectrum works directly with your insurance company to begin the authorization process for ABA therapy . Our team schedules an initial ABA assessment to gather the information needed to create an individualized treatment plan for your child.
Although authorization timelines vary by insurance provider, many children are able to begin therapy faster at AB Spectrum because we focus exclusively on autism services for young children. Families can also learn more about autism spectrum disorder and early signs through the CDC Autism Resources .

Once enrolled in our ABA therapy program , a child receives highly individualized treatment plans from a collaborative team that may include a Speech Language Pathologist , a Registered Behavior Technician, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Treatment typically ranges from 20 to 40 hours per week and may continue for one to five years depending on each child’s developmental needs and goals.
AB Spectrum is proud to provide a skilled team of professionals whose advanced experience in autism therapy helps elevate the quality of support available to children and families enrolled in our St. Louis autism clinics .
Autism Diagnosis and Psychological Testing
AB Spectrum offers psychological testing through our Autism Diagnostic Clinic. Our clinical psychology team helps families better understand a child’s cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.
These assessments help evaluate intellectual abilities, developmental milestones, learning style, and areas where a child may need more support.
Our team evaluates attention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, behavior concerns, and related challenges that may affect learning and daily life.
Testing can help identify emotional strengths, areas of concern, personality traits, anxiety, mood symptoms, and other clinical needs.
Psychological testing works alongside our ABA therapy, speech therapy, and autism intervention programs. These evaluations give our team a fuller picture of each child’s strengths, challenges, and support needs. As a result, we can build more individualized treatment plans.
Early autism diagnosis can help families access support sooner. At AB Spectrum, we help guide families through the evaluation process and connect them with early intervention options like Reggio ABA. Families can also learn more about developmental milestones and autism signs from the CDC autism signs and symptoms guide.
Beyond autism, AB Spectrum can help with psychological testing, referrals, and care coordination for several developmental, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
To begin psychological testing, have your child’s provider send a referral form to AB Spectrum. Our team will review the information and schedule an initial interview with our psychologist.
